I recommend the idle build, and most others do too. So when do you buy ancients? This depends on if you want to play active build (mostly clicking for damage) OR idle build (zero-minimal clicking). This increase in dps will make your next run quicker, which means more souls next ascension, which makes your next run go faster, and repeat. *Hero souls increase your dps by 10% with each soul, so if you have 10 souls that’s a 100% increase. Everyone’s first reaction is to buy ancients. Souls are used to increase your dps OR to buy ancients. If you have 7-11 hero souls, and either just killed zone 140 or you know that 140 isn’t going to be a primal, then it’s time to ascend. Ascension skill is hiding under Amenhotep as a level 150 skill. It will get dramatically faster the more souls you collect. The first ascension takes z, typically 1-3 days depending on how much you play. It can be spread out amongst all your heroes or put a lot on the lower heroes (since they’re cheaper). This number is the summation of all your heros, so don’t worry about having each hero get to 2k. Every 2000 Hero Levels will give you 1 Hero Soul. There are things later in the game that increase the chance, but you won’t worry about that now.Ģ. Every boss after lvl 100 (105, 110, 115, etc.) has a 25% chance of being a primal (to give souls). These guy start at zone 100, and they give you souls. Of course more is better, but you may get unlucky and only get 7, or get really lucky and get more than 11. Each time you ascend you want to get between 7-11 hero souls, which will be around zone 130-140. These skills include: +%dps to all heros, +click dmg, +click crit, etc. Always backtrack to a few heros lower than the hero you are currently on so you can buy all the beneficial skills (ie: when you level up Ivan, or the Fisherman, up to ~10, go back and get all of Cid’s skills, repeat down the list). (You’ll notice a huge gap and think “wtf is with that cost?”). Walls happen when the monsters health is higher than your current dps, or the cost gap for the next hero is too expensive. Warning/spoiler: at a certain point (around zone 130-140) you will hit a wall. *Farm gold on the highest lvl you can beat, it will give you the highest gold/sec available to you. *If dps becomes too slow before the next hero (ie health isn’t moving and skills don’t help) level up your hero a few more levels until the next is available. Repeat this step until your game slows down too much. Level each hero to 10 and get its upgrade, then get the next hero. Just look for the lines to find the section you want.
